My career as a photographer has taken me around the world. No country has been more important for my work, however, than Mexico. This book is a result of 5 years living in that beautiful country between 1966 and 1971 and of a return visit in 1974.
My work in Mexico, like everywhere I photograph, focuses on capturing the evocative beauty of landscapes, the dignified life of the people, the quirky incongruity of objects and icons, and the moving quality of the human face unposed.
